Jinshanling Great Wall was named because it was built on the Jinshan Mountains. It was initially built from 1368 to 1389 in the Ming Dynasty, and in 1567 or 1570 rebuilding of the Wall was mainly directed by General Qi Jiguang. The Wall is about 21 to 24 feet high and 15 to 18 feet wide, which is made of brick and stone. The Jinshanling Great Wall has an elevation of 2100 feet.

In the morning, our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at your hotel at 7:30 or at 8:30 up to your preference.
Take about 3 hours to drive to the Jinshanling Great wall in private vehicle. JinShanLing Great Wall , about 120 km from Beijing, lies in the mountainous area in RuanPing County, Hebei province. It was a key military stronghold. JinShanLing Great Wall was mainly built from 1570 during the Ming dynasty. The 20 km long JinShanLing Great Wall, although a bit smaller and narrower than BaDaLing and MuTianYu, features complicated and well preserved fortification systems. JinShanLing Great Wall meanders through fantastic natural scenery and connects to SiMaTai Great Wall to the east. It lies 133 kilometers (82.5miles) from downtown Beijing. The Great Wall at Jinshanling is 13kilometers (8miles) long with a total of 90 watch towers. There's a watch tower every 100 meters or so, and in some places the interval is only 50-60meters. Hike for 4 hours to the western section of the Simatai Great Wall.
Have a light lunch on the wall then hike for another 1.5 hours to the east part of it.
Drive back to the city at around 17:00.
